Ocean Prime is an upscale chain known for their sophisticated decor, long wine list, classic steak and seafood menu. Here are my favorites on the menu, and my overall vibe check of the award-winning restaurant, located on International Drive.
Sushi: Lobster Roll
Poached lobster tail, kiwi, pickled serrano, masago + spicy mango puree $19
Very good! Sweet and light.
Sushi: Prime Roll
Tempura shrimp, cream cheese, scallion + beef carpaccio $18
Hands down, one of the best sushi rolls I’ve tried. Tender & mouthwatering. Very filling! I preferred this just a little more than the Lobster roll.
Appetizer: Sonoma Goat Cheese Ravioli
with golden oak mushrooms $14
Rich and creamy, savory taste. Liked it a lot!
Seafood: Chilean Sea Bass
with whipped potatoes + champagne truffle sauce $45
Delicious! The bass is very light and flaky. It will melt in your mouth.
Appetizer: "Surf N Turf"
Sea scallops, slow braised short ribs $19
This item on the menu is a certified classic! A simplistic show-stopper. The scallops were flavorful and the ribs were marinated to perfection.
The Vibe Check
Ocean Prime's outdoor patio seating makes the overall experience comforting and laid-back. It also helped that we had a phenomenal waiter! Austin had a great personality; if you visit Ocean Prime, definitely request him ahead of time. The overall experience at this restaurant was refreshing and light. The water-front view sets the tone for a breezy, relaxed outing. Perfect for date night, a lunch on the patio & more.
