The Salty Donut
The Salty Donut focuses on craft donuts & baked goods, unique coffee options, and all around welcoming vibes. I had the pleasure of visiting the Buckhead location in Atlanta. For my local Florida readers, The Salty has recently opened a storefront in Tampa, located at Hyde Park Village. They also have multiple locations in Miami and Orlando. Coffee
Daytime coffee has gotten a whole lot sweeter. The salted caramel latte is the perfect blend of silky and slightly briny. Served either ice and hot, you can’t go wrong with either option, as it is prepared with with a homemade, in-house caramel.
Donuts
The traditional glazed donut is a classic, and one of my favorite donuts that I have tried at The Salty. It’s a soft brioche covered in a vanilla bean glaze. Next, I tried the maple cinnamon twist, an exclusive at the Buckhead Atlanta location. It’s savory and rich in flavor. Its truly meant to be shared! The brown butter + salt donut is equally rich. The vanilla bean cake donut is topped with maldon sea salt, pairing well with a sip of the salted caramel latte.
The Visionary Boss verdict: If anyone knows me, they are well aware that I can’t turn down a donut. It’s one of my favorite treats, no matter the occasion or what time of day. The Salty gets it right! I will be visiting the Hyde Park Village location soon. Next time, I plan on ordering a batch of traditional glazed and oreo cake donut holes. Delicious things arrive in small packages, or in this case, as mini donuts!
