Cru Cellars: Westshore Marina
Here are my top picks for Tampa’s 2000-bottle wine cellar & restaurant/bar, located in the Westshore Marina neighborhood. 5232 Bridge Street, Tampa, FL 33611
Drinks & Cocktails
The craft menu cocktail features tangy & sweet curations. Duality at its finest. We enjoyed the Smoked Old Fashioned, described as smooth and smokey, as well as the Bees Knees. If you’re into a honey, lemony take on a classic type of drink, you’ll enjoy every tantalizing sip.(mwah!) My table also enjoyed Cru Cellar’s mimosas and bubbly rosé options.
Appetizers
You can’t go wrong with a round of truffle fries to share with the table. Cru’s loaded hummus platter also lived up to our expectations! Red pepper hummus, with paprika chickpea & more…it’s no wonder, we wanted seconds.
Mains
The Cru salad is a classic. The mixed argula and kale is textured, leafy goodness you need right before your main course.
Most of our table opted for Cru’s Bucatini Carbonara which did not disappoint! It was perfectly cooked, and most of all flavorful, filling and hearty. Very rich in flavor, but not too overpowering. I added grilled shrimp and that was a wonderful choice. The shrimp was grilled just right. I’m still dreaming about it now.
The Visionary Boss Verdict:
Cru Cellar’s is definitely somewhere I would visit again. Our waitress was super accommodating and made the night cozy, lighthearted and warm for us. Considering, it was my birthday dinner, it did feel celebratory. The complimentary birthday sherbet was a nice touch too! I am looking forward to check out more of their wine and main options in the near future.
Until next time, ciao! 🫶🏽
