Ulele Tampa
Here are my recommendations for Tampa’s Ulele, a rustic-chic site for native Floridian fare, with barbacoa grilling & house-brewed beers. Located outside the historic Armature Works. 1810 N Highland Ave, Tampa, FL 33602.
Drinks & Cocktails
We ordered the Springside Smash and the Frosé . The Springside Smash is a lovely handcrafted cocktail mixed with seasonal berries, and fresh ingredients like lemon juice and mint. The Frosé is blended with Charles Smith Band of Roses rosé wine, Svedka Vodka, and an all-natural house mix. It’s a flirty, fun drink that pairs well with Ulele’s unique & tempting seafood options.
Appetizers
An order of charbroiled oysters just might take you to paradise. These delicious oysters were the highlight of our trip to Ulele. The combination of grated Parm and garlic butter is a total hit. You’ll want to order a dozen!
Do yourself a favor by ordering the Mac & Cheese. This shareable appetizer features Ulele’s special homemade sauce with three-cheese panko crust atop seashell pasta.
Sandwiches
The Lobster Roll did not disappoint. The fresh, light lobster, tossed with mango citrus aioli and garlic butter, tastes like heaven a soft, buttery wholewheat bun. A side order of fries goes perfectly with this lunch entree.
Your taste buds will melt when you take a bite of Ulele’s Shrimp Po’Boy. The shrimp is seasoned and fried to crispy perfection, served on a tasty Amoroso roll. The remoulade sauce is a definite crowd pleaser.
The Visionary Boss Verdict:
My visit to Ulele surely exceeded my expectations. Our waiter was friendly and outgoing, providing us with different suggestions. I’d recommend going to Ulele during lunch time if you’re looking for a more of a family-oriented, quiet vibe. I’m looking forward to trying Ulele for a fun nightcap or upscale date night. The waterfront views look soothing and stunning. Next time I will have to sit on the patio to take in all the views and summery atmosphere.
